Unusual U-shaped cinder cone in the San Francisco Volcanic Field (~740,000 years old) with a large natural amphitheater, hoodoos, and dark mineral crystals. Easy USFS Trail 159 (about 3 miles RT) leads from a signed US-180 trailhead into the eroded cone interior.
