Where the Green River cuts a deep red-rock canyon, Red Canyon Recreation Area sits on the south rim of Flaming Gorge. Forest Service facilities include overlooks, trails, and nearby camping oriented to the gorge views. It is a main roadside and short-trail stop on the Utah side of Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area.
