1890–1907 ten-stamp mill and short-lived settlement on the Lida–Palmetto road, with mill ruins still visible from SR-266. A small camp once held a store, saloon, and roadhouse serving mines in the Sylvania Mountains; foundations and ironwork remain among the trees at the canyon mouth. Easy roadside stop when looping Gold Point, Lida, and Palmetto.
