About twenty-five miles southwest of Carlsbad, New Mexico, Parks Ranch Cave is a recreational limestone cave on BLM land. Unlike several other Carlsbad Field Office caves, it does not require a permit, though standard wild-cave practices apply: helmets, multiple lights, and groups of at least three. The entrance area is reached by graded roads off US 62/180 near mile markers 9–10.
