Day-use picnic site on the Black Hills Back Country Byway at the historic Old Safford Bridge over the Gila River, on the east side of Gila Box Riparian National Conservation Area. Four tables sit in mesquite shade just downriver from the 1910s span, with river access used by boaters and more than a hundred recorded bird species. It is a specific stop, not the Riverview campground several miles west.
