Monjeau Lookout sits on a high ridge in Lincoln National Forest north of Ruidoso. The Civilian Conservation Corps rebuilt the present tower in 1940 after a 1936 original; it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. A steep gravel forest road reaches three parking and camping pullouts and closes with winter snow.
