Approximate location — plotted from published sources, not a site visit, and not a guarantee of access.
West of Kanab on BLM land, Moccasin Mountain Dinosaur Tracksite preserves hundreds of Early Jurassic vertebrate tracks in Navajo Sandstone. A short walk from the parking area reaches multiple track levels; brochures are available at the BLM Kanab Visitor Center. Access is via sandy BLM Road 30, which typically requires four-wheel drive.
Cultural sites and artifacts are protected by federal law (ARPA/NHPA) — stay on established routes, touch and remove nothing, and follow the managing agency's and the affiliated tribe's guidance on access.
