The Mexican Canyon Trestle, also called the Cloud-Climbing Trestle, spans a deep draw just west of Cloudcroft. Built in 1899 for the Alamogordo and Sacramento Mountain Railway, the wooden structure is visible from a signed U.S. 82 pullout. A short fee trail from the Trestle Recreation Area reaches a closer view of the NRHP-listed span.
