Marcia

Otero County, NM

Coordinate verified

Sacramento Mountains railroad-logging settlement (also called Camp Marcia) built for Alamogordo Lumber Company operations that fed the Cloud-Climbing / Alamogordo & Sacramento Mountain Railroad era. The village was an important early-20th-century timber camp south of Cloudcroft; residual grades, clearings, and sparse structural traces remain on Lincoln National Forest land along forest roads in the Sacramento high country.
