Largest accessible natural arch in New Mexico, carved in Zuni Sandstone on the east edge of El Malpais National Monument. A short paved parking pullout and 0.25-mile gravel path lead to views of the window above dark basalt flows of the McCartys lava field; NM-117 continues south to Sandstone Bluffs Overlook. Easy front-country geology stop on the Grants–El Malpais loop.
