Railroad- and highway-era stop on Humboldt County Route 55 (former State Route 49) between Winnemucca and Sulphur. The place once held a hotel, store, filling station, and blacksmith shop. The townsite is now empty on the Black Rock / Smoke Creek desert fringe along a public road corridor.
