Juan Bautista de Anza Overlook

BLM overlook on the Juan Bautista de Anza National Historic Trail with a panoramic view across the Yuha Desert ACEC south of I-8 near Ocotillo. The Yuha is Colorado Desert plain rich in desert ecology and expedition history—Anza’s 1775 party crossed here—now a limited-use ACEC with designated routes, fossil shell beds, and protected cultural resources on the Imperial Valley’s western edge.
