Homolovi State Park

Ancestral Hopi pueblo cluster on the Little Colorado River floodplain just north of Winslow — Homol’ovi, “Place of the Little Hills.” Four main villages occupied roughly A.D. 1260–1400 during the late Hopi migration era; the state park protects the archaeological sites with a visitor center/museum, short interpretive trails, and camping. Hopi cultural advisors shaped park interpretation; the word “Ruins” was dropped from the former name because the villages are considered spiritually alive.
