A seasonal Forest Service overlook on Highway 44 sits atop the Hat Creek Rim fault scarp east of Old Station. Interpretive signs, picnic tables, and the Pacific Crest Trail look across Hat Creek Valley toward Lassen Peak, Mount Shasta, and a chain of Cascade volcanoes.
