Approximate location — plotted from published sources, not a site visit, and not a guarantee of access.
On the western Mojave between Red Mountain and the Cuddeback area, Grass Valley Wilderness is a broad basin of low hills and desert pavement managed by BLM Ridgecrest. Access is from U.S. 395 via Red Mountain-Trona Road or Twenty Mule Team Road; a vehicle corridor crosses the unit. There are no developed trails or water sources.
Cultural sites and artifacts are protected by federal law (ARPA/NHPA) — stay on established routes, touch and remove nothing, and follow the managing agency's and the affiliated tribe's guidance on access.
