Thermal spring settlement on the Gila River above the Gila Cliff Dwellings corridor, with visitor soaking pools at riverside lodges and documented spring outlets in the Gila Hot Springs community. The site is the developed-valley soak base for the upper Gila (distinct from wilderness hike-in Lightfeather and Jordan pools) and has long served travelers heading to the cliff dwellings and Gila Wilderness trailheads.
