National Park Service hike-in historic site at Apache Pass preserving adobe ruins of the 1860s–1894 U.S. Army post that guarded the pass, Butterfield Stage route, and Apache Spring during the Chiricahua Apache wars. A signed 1.5-mile trail from the Apache Pass Road trailhead parking lot leads past stage-station ruins, the post cemetery, and Apache Spring to the second-fort parade ground and visitor center.
