502-foot Bureau of Reclamation thin-arch dam on the Green River (completed 1964) that created Flaming Gorge Reservoir as part of the Colorado River Storage Project. US-191 crosses the crest; overlooks and a dam visitor center near Dutch John interpret power production, river history, and John Wesley Powell’s naming of Flaming Gorge upstream.
