Restored 1867 volcanic-rock fort at the I-15 / I-70 junction, built for Brigham Young by Ira Hinckley as a Mormon Road way station, stage stop, and Deseret Telegraph / Pony Express hub. Free guided tours walk the 100-foot-square fort, blacksmith shop, and period rooms—one of the best-preserved Utah Territorial forts.
