Approximate location — plotted from published sources, not a site visit, and not a guarantee of access.
A BLM special recreation management site of unvegetated sand in Clayton Valley, Esmeralda County, Nevada, east of the White Mountains approaches. OHV use is allowed on unvegetated sand and on existing roads and trails; competitive events are closed. The dunes are a small, remote play area with no developed facilities, not a large recreation complex.
Cultural sites and artifacts are protected by federal law (ARPA/NHPA) — stay on established routes, touch and remove nothing, and follow the managing agency's and the affiliated tribe's guidance on access.
