Near-ghost railroad community in the Beaver Bottoms of southern Millard County, about twenty miles north of Milford, named for nearby dark rock formations. A Los Angeles and Salt Lake Railroad station and local service center from the late 1800s, it kept a post office from 1891 to 1959. Distinct from Black Rock Volcano farther east and Tooele’s Black Rock Site; respect any remaining private homes.
