Roughly 18,000 acres of chaparral and mountain ridge on the Palomar Ranger District of Cleveland National Forest, first designated wilderness in 1975. Trails such as Dripping Springs climb toward Eagle Crag and the Agua Tibia divide. Overnight use needs a free Forest Service wilderness permit; day use follows standard forest rules and seasonal fire closures.
