Silver-lead camp south of Eureka established after 1869–70 discoveries; briefly ~150 people with stores and a stamp mill before Eureka overshadowed it. Revived as Geddes with a large Geddes & Bertrand mill/furnace in the 1880s; intermittent work to ~1940. Stone mill foundations and scattered townsite remains mark the visitor area.
