Estuary and salt-marsh habitat at the mouth of the Tijuana River in Imperial Beach, California, make up Tijuana Slough National Wildlife Refuge. The refuge is part of the Tijuana River National Estuarine Research Reserve complex and a major Pacific Flyway birding site. A visitor center and interpretive trails open from the Coronado Avenue/Third Street approach.
