Three Gun Springs Trailhead

USFS Cibola National Forest trailhead (Three Gun Spring / Tres Pistolas Trail 194) in the Carnuel–Monticello foothills of the Sandia Mountains. The approach exposes classic Sandia granite and foothill structure on the mountain’s south-western front and links toward Hawk Watch Trail 215—making it a field geology and structural-geology stop distinct from the already-mapped Vulcan Volcano day-use area on the West Mesa and from South Sandia Peak’s high crest pin.
