Sego was a coal camp in a side canyon north of Thompson Springs, Grand County. Company housing, a tipple, and rail spurs served mines that fed steam locomotives into the early 20th century. Colorful sandstone ruins and canyon walls remain; rock art nearby is protected—view only, never touch. High-clearance dirt road; watch for washouts.
