Nevada’s oldest Anglo-American building site: the 1855 adobe fort established by Mormon missionaries at the Las Vegas Springs, later a ranch and stop on the Old Spanish Trail / Mormon Road. Restored partial fort walls, visitor center exhibits, and a small park interpret the oasis that became Las Vegas — a rare urban historic state park on the edge of downtown.
