Highest of the three summits of Mount Jefferson in the Toquima Range (North Summit ~11,941 ft), inside Alta Toquima Wilderness / Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest. One of Nevada’s ultra-prominent peaks with alpine tundra and huge views over Monitor and Big Smoky valleys; approached by long high-clearance routes and off-trail or faint-path ridge walking.
