The National Register Moro Rock Stairway climbs more than 350 concrete and stone steps to the 6,725-foot granite dome in Sequoia National Park's Giant Forest. The 1931 Park Service stairway replaced earlier routes and is still the public path. From the summit, views run west to the San Joaquin Valley and east into the Great Western Divide. In summer the Crescent Meadow road often requires the park shuttle.
Cultural sites and artifacts are protected by federal law (ARPA/NHPA) — stay on established routes, touch and remove nothing, and follow the managing agency's and the affiliated tribe's guidance on access.
