Nevada’s first permanent non-native settlement site in Genoa, founded in 1851 as a California Trail trading post before the Sierra crossing. The state historic park includes a reconstructed 1851 stockade museum, the 1856 Kinsey House, blacksmith shop, and shaded picnic grounds in the heart of Genoa.
