Coronado National Forest sky-island canyon on the northwest flank of the Santa Rita Mountains, one of the premier birding destinations in the United States (elegant trogon, hummingbirds, montane migrants) with year-round creek, oak–sycamore riparian forest, and trailheads from desert scrub to Mount Wrightson. Proctor parking area is the lower accessible gateway with nature trail and visitor information station.
