Portions of the Ibex Hills and the adjacent Dublin Hills and Black Mountains fall inside Ibex Wilderness, on the southeast edge of Death Valley country. Craggy north–south ridges and open desert basins support hiking, horseback travel, and primitive camping under BLM rules. Remote dirt roads off CA 127 and the Death Valley approaches provide access.
