Havasu National Wildlife Refuge protects Colorado River shoreline, backwaters, and desert uplands between Needles and Lake Havasu City. Topock Marsh and riverside trails draw waterfowl in winter; desert bighorn use the cliffs. Most units are free day-use; boat and heat safety matter in summer. Stay out of posted closure zones for nesting birds.
